Barbara Bartlik, MD is a board certified psychiatrist in private practice for over 30 years in Manhattan who also is a boarded specialist in integrative medicine, certified by the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM). She treats men, women and couples with sexual problems, women with hormonally-related concerns, individuals with weight management issues, and all patients with problems of a more general psychiatric or medical nature. Dr. Bartlik takes a holistic approach to treatment, emphasizing lifestyle and nutritional strategies, seeking to responsibly minimize the use of pharmaceuticals while optimizing overall health and well-being. Dr. Bartlik is on the voluntary faculty of New York-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center and Lenox Hill Hospital/Northwell Health, New York, NY and on staff at the Yonkers Service Center of Rockland Psychiatric Center in Orangeburg, NY. Dr. Bartlik was an advisor to Jane Fonda on her book, "Prime Time: Love, Health, Sex, Fitness, Friendship, Spirit, Making the Most of All of Your Life."
In addition, she is a co-editor of Integrative Sexual Health with Geovanni Espinosa, and Janet Mindes (Oxford University Press). It is the newest ground-breaking addition to Oxford University Press' growing Integrative Medicine Library series, edited by Dr. Andrew Weil.
